Dr. Maciej Kuczyński graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy in Lublin. He defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Medicine of Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

He is a specialist in general surgery and plastic surgery. He obtained the title of specialist in plastic surgery in 2001 after completing a specialization internship at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of CMKP in Warsaw.

Before obtaining his specialization, he worked at the Plastic Surgery Clinic of the Royal University Hospital “Rigshospitalet” in Copenhagen (Denmark) and trained at the Burn Treatment Center in Hvidovre (Denmark) as well as in centers in Sweden (Malmo) and France (Paris).

In 2004, Dr. Maciej Kuczyński established his own facility, the “Plastic Surgery Center of Dr. Maciej Kuczyński,” which operated until 2022 in Nałęczów, Lublin, and Rzeszów.

From 2001 to 2010, he served as the Provincial Consultant in the field of plastic surgery in the Lublin region. From 2005 to 2019, he was a permanent court expert at the District Court in Lublin (currently provides ad hoc opinions).

In 2006, he founded the Polish branch of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), which he led until 2014. Since 2009 (and continuing), he has been Vice President of PTChPRiE (Polish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), serving as vice president.

For many years, he has organized the recurring interdisciplinary breast surgery symposium “Lublin Breast Surgery Forum” in Lublin.

He is actively involved in educating young plastic surgeons, co-organizing aesthetic surgery workshops at the “Mandala” Clinic in Poznań. He participates in numerous symposia and conferences in Poland and abroad.
