Free treatment of advanced breast cancer
The WILMED Medical Center is recruiting patients for an international clinical trial using chemoimmunotherapy designed for patients with hormone receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer. The study has received a positive opinion from the Bioethics Committee and is completely free of charge for participants.
Who can participate in the study?
- patients diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer with a positive reaction for estrogen receptor (ER+) and/or a positive reaction for progesterone receptor (PgR+).
- without overexpression of the HER2 receptor
- who have not previously been treated with chemotherapy due to disease spread
- previous treatment with cytostatics as adjuvant or neoadjuvant therapy is allowed
Qualified study participants will receive free of charge:
- standard chemotherapy including treatment with paclitaxel supported by the investigational substance or placebo;
- continuous care from an experienced and qualified oncologist (member of the research team) related to the study;
- control laboratory tests, heart ECG, and radiological examinations;
- as well as reimbursement of travel expenses to the center.
Study schedule:
The study includes a 28-week phase of chemoimmunotherapy followed by 52 weeks of maintenance treatment and a subsequent observation phase lasting up to 18 weeks.
The above information will be detailed by the physician during the qualifying visit for the study and treatment.
The study is conducted at Bioconcept, Specialist Medical Clinic WILMED, ul. Wiktorii Wiedeńskiej 9A lok. U2 in Warsaw.
