RECRUITMENT CLOSED

Ulceration in diabetic foot syndrome is a common and serious complication in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes is a disease associated with ischemia, neuropathy, and deformities that often lead to the development of ulcers on the feet.

The cause of these changes is so-called peripheral neuropathy, which is damage to nerve fibers and changes in blood vessels. The patient may experience burning, tingling, or numbness in the limbs, especially in the evening and at night. Untreated diabetic foot syndrome can even lead to limb necrosis.

We invite you to participate in a clinical trial concerning chronic, non-healing diabetic foot ulcer located on the plantar part of the foot. The ulcer must not be caused by lower limb ischemia.

The decision to participate is entirely yours; participation in the study is a personal choice, and we are happy to provide all the information needed to make an informed decision.

Participation in the study offers the following benefits for the patient:• participants receive free treatment related to the study conducted by our specialist doctors and care from a qualified nursing team
• continuous monitoring system of the ulcer condition
• possibility of new treatment methods
• reimbursement of transportation costs

Patients treated on an outpatient basis for diabetic foot syndrome ulcers, with diagnosed and documented type 1 or type 2 diabetes, may qualify for the study.
