Free diagnostics and treatment of nail fungus
We invite you to take advantage of free diagnostics and treatment of nail fungus as part of a clinical trial conducted by the WILMED Clinic.
If you suffer from a fungal infection:
- affecting at least one toenail of the big toe involving 20–50% of the nail plate and you are 12 years old or older,
- we warmly invite you to participate in a European clinical trial aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of a modern antifungal medication for nail application.
A dermatologist from our center will provide you with detailed information about the study and its procedures. If you decide to participate in the study and your nail infection meets the study criteria, you will have the opportunity for completely free treatment of this troublesome condition.
To schedule an appointment with a dermatologist, please contact our Clinic between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM at the phone numbers: (22) 651 98 61, 692 407 540
How to prepare for your visit – patient guidelines
At the first visit, a doctor from our center will conduct a detailed interview, perform an initial assessment of the lesions, and then collect a local sample for microscopic examination and identification of pathogenic fungi. The material is collected from affected areas – these are scrapings from the nail plate infected by the fungus.
To ensure the laboratory test results are reliable, please follow the important preparation guidelines below:
- the patient must discontinue antifungal medications. Oral medications should be stopped 6 months before the test, while topical preparations such as lacquers, ointments, creams should be stopped at least 4 weeks before the test;
- the patient must not cut their nails for 1 week before the test;
- the nail plate must not be filed or covered with nail polish;
